This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Holmes (“the app”) is provided by Ercan Biçer (“I”, “me”, “my”, or “Ercan”) and how information is handled when you use the app.

1. What the App Does

Mr. Holmes lets you choose or take a face photo and search for visually similar images and related source pages on the public web. The app may show image thumbnails, match scores, source links, and platform labels.

The app does not verify identity and does not guarantee that any search result is correct.

2. Information Collected

The app may process:

• Photos you select, crop, take, or submit for a search.
• Search results, including thumbnails, scores, source URLs, and related metadata.
• Local search history stored on your device.
• App settings such as onboarding status, credits, sound, and haptic preferences.
• Device and other identifiers, such as the iOS Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), Firebase anonymous user ID, Firebase installation or app instance identifiers, RevenueCat identifiers, and similar technical identifiers.
• Device and usage information, crash logs, diagnostics, and analytics events.
• Purchase and subscription status from the Apple App Store and RevenueCat.
• Support emails or messages you send to [email protected].

I do not collect full payment card information. Payments are handled by the Apple App Store.

3. Face Photos

When you start a search, the submitted photo is sent through our backend to FaceCheck.id, a third-party image search provider, so the search can be performed. FaceCheck.id returns search progress, thumbnails, match scores, source URLs, and related metadata.

Mr. Holmes does not sell your photos and does not use submitted photos for advertising. Photos are not sent to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.
