QuranStudio is a video creation tool that allows users to generate aesthetic Quran recitation videos by combining background visuals with synchronized Arabic text, translations, and audio recitations.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

Media and Content: When you use our features, you may select background videos from third-party stock video providers (such as Pexels) or upload your own videos from your device’s gallery. User-uploaded media is processed locally on your device to generate the requested video output.
Preferences: Your selections such as preferred Surah, Ayah range, reciter, and translation language are stored locally on your device to improve your experience.
Customer Support: If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your communication.

B. Automatically Collected Information

When you access the App, we may collect certain information automatically, including:

Device Information: Your mobile device ID, model, manufacturer, operating system version, and language settings.
Usage Data: Details about your interaction with the App, such as features used, time spent, generation quotas, and crash reports. We use tools like Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics.
Purchase Information: If you purchase a premium subscription, Apple handles your payment. We receive anonymized purchase data and subscription status through tools like RevenueCat. We do not process or store sensitive payment details such as credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes, including to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the App’s core video generation features.
Process subscriptions and manage your account quotas.
Improve, personalize, and expand our App’s functionality.
Understand and analyze how you use the App to identify trends.
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and bugs.
Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support messages.

3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our App:

Quran Data Provider: We use the Quran.com API (by Quran Foundation) to retrieve Quranic text, translations, audio recitations, and timing data. No personal user data is shared with this service; only content requests (e.g., Surah number, reciter ID) are transmitted.
Stock Video Provider: We use the Pexels API to provide royalty-free background video options. No personal user data is shared with Pexels; only search queries are transmitted through our secure backend.
Backend & Analytics: We use Firebase (by Google) for cloud functions, database hosting, analytics, and crash reporting.
Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to handle App Store subscription status verifications.

These third parties have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

4. On-Device Processing

QuranStudio generates videos locally on your device. Your selected background videos, Quranic text overlays, and audio are composed into a final video entirely on your iPhone/iPad. No video rendering occurs on our servers, and your generated videos are never uploaded to our systems.

5. Quranic Content

QuranStudio displays Quranic text and audio sourced from the Quran.com API (Quran Foundation). The App is designed as a tool for creating content and does not provide religious rulings or interpretations. The accuracy of translations depends on the respective translation authors and the data provided by the Quran Foundation.
